We are currently seeking someone who is experienced with securing sponsorships for large public events. Our organization will be raising funds to offer scholarships to students from disadvantaged backgrounds to attend Virtual STEM Camps/Workshops and Certification Courses to pursue and obtain high paying/high demand STEM careers.
Technology and automation will pose an increasing threat to employment for disadvantaged populations, and our mission is to advocate for STEM education, entrepreneurship and equity for underrepresented groups.
The 5K event will be held in August and based in Greensboro NC and will host food trucks, a vendor marketplace, wealth building workshops, musical performances and kids activities. More information can be found at www.victorylap5k.com.
We have developed a sponsorship packet which contains the various sponsorship packages, and the perks or spiffs that will be awarded for each. We look forward to sharing this document during the interview process.
If you have experience with sponsorships/events please feel free to reach out and provide more detail about your experience and interest. We will respond to all interested candidates within 24 hours. We are willing to work out a compensation package equal to an agreed upon percentage of sponsorship dollars raised. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

We advocate for economic empowerment by educating, equipping, and exposing people from marginalized communities to the jobs and businesses of the future through STEM events and programming.
Black and Hispanic Americans, and people form other marginalized groups are twice as likely to be adversely impacted by the disruption of automation technologies such as artificial intelligence, autonomous devices, and the Internet of Things as counterparts of other races and cultures. Over 50% of all service based jobs are occupied by African Americans, though they only comprise 13% of the population in the United States. This disparity presents a mounting concern in an already wide gap in income, wealth, and economic opportunity.
Be Great Foundation Inc., a North Carolina based non-profit organization, was created to address such economic and opportunity disparities by advocating for STEM education, entrepreneurship and equity for underrepresented populations. We offer workshops, trainings, and resources aimed at helping individuals from underrepresented populations gain exposure to the skills of the future, while equipping them to create businesses and seek careers which embrace engineering and technology based approaches and paradigms.
We'll work with your schedule.
This is a Virtual Opportunity, with no fixed address.
