A FAITH THAT DOES JUSTICE, INC.
Researcher to Evaluate the Feasibility of a Citizenship Course
A Faith That Does Justice is an interfaith organization that challenges people to experience God by living their faith intentionally in service to others. We do this by showing how unjust societal structures marginalize people and by acting to help those in need.
We are considering developing and implementing a free citizenship course for immigrants seeking citizenship. We envision the course would have 2 components: a short 1 hour or so virtual overview of the requirements and process for obtaining citizenship that would be available to all; and a longer, multiweek virtual classroom education experience that would be available to individuals who are eligible to apply for citizenship. We would concentrate on the educational aspects of becoming a citizen and would partner with another organization to provide the legal aspects of the citizenship application process.
We are seeking a volunteer researcher to assist us in evaluating the feasibility of offering a free citizenship course. There are 3 components of the feasibility research project: research and reporting on the number and type of similar programs available to prospective students in the greater Boston area; research and reporting on the demand for such courses and quantification of the course backlog, if any; and research and reporting on in the course material and teaching skills and other requirements for a citizenship course.

Inspiring faith in action.
What We Do:
A Faith That Does Justice has four components:
Who We Are:
We are a volunteer-run program, helping people from different faith traditions walk in solidarity with those less fortunate. Volunteering with A Faith that Does Justice allows you to put your faith into action and make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate.
Who We Seek:
As a fully volunteer organization, we rely on the talents, skills and dedication of volunteers to carry out our mission. We ask that volunteers commit at least 3 hours per week supporting our endeavors.
We'll work with your schedule.
This is a Virtual Opportunity, with no fixed address.
