JOHNSON COUNTY COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS ACTIVE IN DISASTERS
JCCOAD is recruiting Johnson County residents to serve as members of the Board of Directors, which serve three-year terms beginning in August of each year. Board members may serve a second three-year term. The Board meets quarterly and ensures that Communications and Volunteer Management services are in place should they be needed in case of a disaster. Experience in disaster relief or disaster management is welcome, but not necessary.
No additional volunteer opportunities at this time.
About JOHNSON COUNTY COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS ACTIVE IN DISASTERS
PO BOX 766, FRANKLIN, IN 46131, US
To organize community resources to achieve long-term disaster preparedness, coordination and recovery in Johnson County.
JCCOAD was established in 2008 after a tornado and floods throughout the county. The organization operated with staff until December 2010 when the bulk of the recovery effort was completed. Since then, a volunteer board ensures that supports are in place in the event of another disaster.
