The Economy Shop is a consignment shop located in Oak Park, IL whose sales benefit local nonprofits. Part of Housing Forward's partnership with the Economy Shop requires volunteers to help prepare and run the Women's Better Clothing room inside of the building.
We are currently looking for one volunteer to be our "Room Chair", or liaison between Housing Forward and the Economy Shop.
Duties might include:
- Managing/scheduling other volunteers
- Sorting donations
- Hanging and organizing clothes
- Tagging items for sale
- Assisting and checking out customers on Sale Days
