We are looking for volunteers who know how to crochet and would like to share their talents with those in need by making or donating blankets for our hospice patients. Description
The philosophy at Brookdale Hospice is that life is much more than physical health; it also includes the health of the human spirit. When physical health begins to fail, the nurturing of the spirit becomes critical for maintaining the dignity of the individual.
Volunteers are an important part of our hospice team, filling roles that include direct contact with patients and clerical support. Medicare requires the utilization of volunteers alongside paid clinical and administrative staff. Hospice volunteers describe their work as gratifying, intellectually stimulating, and emotionally meaningful. We value our volunteers greatly.
