Do you have a passion for children? We need your voice for the voiceless.
This April is Child Abuse Awareness Month and KJ’s Angels is on a mission to do something big.
KJ’s Angels is a local nonprofit that is committed to ENDING child abuse and preventing it before it happens. We have a variety of programs that address the needs of children that are at-risk and children that may have been exposed to abuse or neglect. We provide free therapy for victims and essential items to help decrease financial burdens.
We need 8-10 community members who are interested in becoming our first annual Community Outreach Committee.
We will never require you to leave your house and will always maintain COVID safe measures to keep everyone healthy if there is any in person interaction (at your choice).
Volunteer Role Description:

King's Angels is on a mission to love every child in Bexar county. We provide resources and service connections in order to eliminate stressors that could potentially lead to child abuse. Our number one goal is to be the voice of every child in need in Bexar County.
We started in January 2019 when baby King Jay was found deceased at the hands of someone he trusted. He was only 8 months old at his time of death.
We started with his brothers- provided everything we could to change their lives and bless them during a time of extreme tragedy.
it wasn’t long before we realized that we could do the same for other at-risk children.
Since January, we have implemented multiple programs- our major two programs are King's Closet (distribution of diapers, wipes, socks, and underwear) and Mental Health/ Therapy for at-risk families.
We prioritize our families on a case by case basis. Emergency situations are taken care of immediately and foster children are a priority as they are at an increased risk for abuse.
We'll work with your schedule.
This is a Virtual Opportunity, with no fixed address.
