Volunteers help put flyers on doors in the community, posters in stores or flyers in college campuses. This is critical work and not a small task. It ensures that people know about Uhuru Furniture even though we do not have millions of dollars for a marketing budget.

Description
Uhuru Furniture and Collectibles is a non-profit store that is a fundraiser for black community empowerment programs of APEDF. We receive a truck load of donated furniture and household items every day. This is a lively, popular Grand Lake area store staffed mostly by volunteers. When you volunteer at Uhuru Furniture, you not only contribute to the success of the store, you become part of a larger movement for peace through social justice. People shop at Uhuru Furniture for low priced, top quality items and to support crucial programs for social justice for African people.
