During these uncertain times, how can we help?

We are a fast growing animal-meets-human welfare organization looking for assistance from an experienced grant writer to help write and apply for grants. We have a detailed Letter of Interest and Grant Proposal which has been successful in helping us obtain $8,500 in grant funding in the last quarter of 2020. We need some additional support to help us focus our efforts. Grant funding will allow us to keep more pets with their people by offering emergency fostering programs, free vaccinations, in-home services, and spay/neuter opportunities, keeping animals our of the shelter and with the people who love them.
Who You Are: An experienced, collaborative, savvy, experienced grant writer. You know where to find funding dollars and how to creatively portray the need of the organization that will have those donors reaching for their wallets.
Your Role:

Our mission is to provide a temporary safe haven for companion animals in order to keep pets and their people together in times of crisis, increase pet retention, and decrease the number of animals entering the shelter system.
Our organization provides temporary emergency fostering services for people experiencing a crisis. We board pets at both a dog boarding facility (yes, even cats!), as well as individual foster homes. As of June 2020 we have reunified over 30 families with their beloved furry family members. We also hosted Utah's first completely free drive-thru vaccination clinic. Our main focus is pet retention and keeping people with their pets.
We'll work with your schedule.
This is a Virtual Opportunity, with no fixed address.
