The Volunteer Coordinator will mainly be responsible for all communications with volunteers, will manage their activities, and ensure volunteers have all the resources they need to effectively execute their tasks. This role is for someone deeply interested, committed, and aligned with SPI’s mission.
Responsibilities:
- Create weekly reports for the Operations Director
- Manage schedules for everyday activities
- Assign responsibilities as appropriate
- Monitor volunteers’ activities
- Communicate with the Operations Director and team to ensure everyone is informed about progress/ challenges/ needs/ gaps, etc
- Ensure there are appropriate support and training for volunteers
- Support and motivate volunteers
- Assist in recruiting new volunteers
Skills
- Good organizational skills
- Leadership and/or administration skills
- Must have cross-cultural sensitivity
- Strong interpersonal skills, to deal with a diverse team
- Capacity to inspire and motivate others
Working Schedule
- 4 days a week
