At Restore Education, our mission is to restore individuals' potential for success on their path to college and career through the transformative power of education.

Restore Education volunteer tutors assist students with the following:

  • Math and Reading/Language Arts tutoring
  • Developing student study habits, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Maintaining focus and enthusiasm as they work to reach their goals

Restore Education provides tutors with training and all teaching materials. To minimize potential exposure to our students, staff, and volunteers, all interactions are currently through Zoom. Minimum requirements: high speed internet, personal laptop with camera, and headphones with a microphone.

We are seeking volunteers for the following weekly schedule openings:

Monday and Thursday 11AM -1PM CST
Monday-Thursday 2PM -4PM CST
Tuesday and Wednesday 5PM - 7PM CST

Our students come from diverse backgrounds and with varied educational experiences. We have a wide range in participant ages and academic starting points. If you want to be part of someone's educational journey, come join us! Becoming a tutor at Restore Education can have a lasting impact in the lives of both the student and the tutor. In the words of one of our current volunteers, "If you believe in the value of lifelong learning, this is the volunteer gig for you!"
