During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
As Mint Artists grows, we are organizing more events and workshops and programs to serve creative children and youth - many of them virtual for now. Yet we remain a small grassroots nonprofit with a budget of about $60,000 - so volunteers are essential to us and our growth.
So we'd love to find someone who believes in our mission and work to recruit, manage and engage our volunteers and assure they feel good about all they do with us.
We want someone who likes people - and understands the volunteer mindset, who is organized, plans ahead and communicates clearly. We hope you will help us create a volunteer welcome package and volunteer appreciation / recognition awards. We want you to become our volunteer champion and connector and we welcome your expertise and experience.
You may already be a volunteer elsewhere or have recently retired, or wish to get more involved in helping youth and a growing nonprofit in Detroit. We could use one or two people in this role.
Our volunteers live in Metro Detroit and increasingly virtual volunteers come from all over the country. They help with a wide variety of projects, from designing our calendar full of youth art to preparing a career or business workshop for our youth to fundraising and finances. We also are starting to engage our Mint alumni, now young professionals of 22 to 24 years old, in volunteering.
It will help if you have a strong network of friends or coworkers (who volunteer) or a willingness to recruit new volunteers and Mint ambassadors in a variety of places. An appreciation and respect for diversity and inclusion are important and we want a take-charge, get things done person to join Team Mint!

Mint Artists Guild grows Detroit area teens into artists and leaders who thrive as creative entrepreneurs and engaged, generous citizens. As we teach creative young people tools of success and engage and pay them for creative projects and services, Mint opens doors to economic empowerment, social change and creative and life changing opportunities.
Mint works with artists ages 13 to 19 on entrepreneurial, career and life skills, and gives them opportunities to sell their creative work. A summer jobs program, business workshops and online educational and informational resources are offered to young visual artists.
We'll work with your schedule.
This is a Virtual Opportunity, with no fixed address.
