The Marketing Chair plays a critical role in supporting the Affiliate's efforts to raise awareness and funds for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. As part of the larger Communications Committee, they focus on three main campaigns: PurpleStride, the walk to end pancreatic cancer; Advocacy, our efforts to urge Congress to allocate more funding to pancreatic cancer research; and November Awareness, tied to World Pancreatic Cancer Day, which serves as an opportunity to raise awareness about PanCAN's programs and services. This newly developed role is here to support the Communications Chair by securing traditional media and advertising opportunities, while collaborating to bring a cohesive vision to the Affiliate through printed and non-printed materials and resources specific to the Affiliate's needs.

The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network is the national organization creating hope in a comprehensive way through research, patient support, community outreach and government advocacy. The organization raises money for direct private funding of research - and advocates for more aggressive federal research funding of medical breakthroughs in prevention, diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic cancer.
