Kennu Is an organization focused on helping children and youth living in abusive and neglectful living environments. Kennu’s aim is to provide resources such as but not limited to housing, food, clothing and protection for every child that needs us.

Description

Kennu Is a brand new organization founded in May of 2020. We just received 501c3 status with the IRS and are excited to get started fighting for our cause. Our current goal at Kennu is to start raising money to fund and run our organization. Our goal is to build a team of strong Individuals who are passionate about helping our youth and providing them with a brighter future. Kennu plans to offer housing, food, educational resources and a lot more to help children of abuse overcome the unfortunate situations that they have faced. Kennu Is currently looking for a full staff as I have been running the operations by myself for the past year. My goal for this year is to raise enough funds to purchase a property location for Kennu and to complete all the licensing that we will need to provide shelter for the youth that we take in. When I started Kennu my goal was to be able to help the children that we take in find a way out that Is not foster care or group homes. I would like to provide an escape that doesn’t not feel like "going in the system" But I would like them to benefit from all the same resources and more. I do realize that this organization is fresh and will need a lot of help from its keep on getting started. So I am asking for volunteers who are really passionate and committed to helping youth in abusive situations as I am. I have a lot of experience as a youth who was raised in the "system" and i would just like a chance at changing the experience that these youth go through trying to get help.
