Remote Board Secretary
Board Secretary is responsible for recording and certifying accurate documentation exists to meet legal needs of the organization. The Secretary records the minutes of meetings, certifies their accuracy, and availability, proposes policies and practices, submits reports to the board, keeps membership records, fulfills any other requirements of the Director, and other duties as necessary.
The Secretary ensures that the records of the organization are kept as required by law and made obtainable when required by authorized persons. These records may include institution documents, (e.g. letters, trademarks, patents, articles of association, domain registrations), lists of directors, board and committee meeting minutes financial reports, and other authorized records.
The Secretary is the signing officer and files documents on behalf of the organization.
All board members have a fundraising responsibility and are encouraged to leverage their personal network. The overall time commitment is approximately 12 hours per month for a two year board term.

VHA has been bringing health & fitness presentations to churches, businesses and non-profit organizations since 2005. We have hosted city challenges in the Atlanta metro-area involving local residents, businesses & city employees in fun activities to bring about improvements in individual health outcomes with a holistic approach.
Currently we are building a presentation aimed at bringing a healing sense of belonging & connectedness to the African American community through a Black history presentation that goes back beyond the Transatlantic Slave Trade.
