Who We’re Looking for:

We are looking for a Public Relations professional who will be responsible for handling all aspects of PR activities and strategies to manage The Greater Contribution’s public image. This role will focus on developing and managing media relations programs that align with our company’s messages and objectives.

This role will report to our Executive Director and will work closely with our Director of Development. Ideally, this person will have a network of strong contacts in all top-tier press outlets and the ability to quickly form new relationships with influencers when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and execute publicity strategies and campaigns to promote our brand and activities.
Manage all media platforms to assure consistent storytelling in all markets.
Collaborate with the Director of development and the communications committee to develop strategic media plans.
Proactively identify opportunities for us to earn positive media coverage by developing original story/pitch ideas.

Keep up-to-date on new promotional opportunities and the progress of our current PR campaigns.
Engage in regular market research relevant to our company’s PR initiatives and campaigns.
Liaise with Journalist influencers and other members of the media; pitching when needed to secure the necessary media coverage.
Plan and execute press launches and other promotional events.
Maintain an up-to-date press list by collecting and editing the contact information of social media influencers, journalists, and other members of the media.

The Right Person Would Have:

5+ years of experience.
Experience at an agency or in-house PR at a brand (both are a plus!)
Creativity and a sense of initiative.
Full understanding of media needs and media relationships.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and public speaking skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Use of good judgment in what you report and how you report it.
Trustworthy to manage sensitive/confidential information.
Proactive, reliable, responsible, and accurate with excellent attention to detail.
