HCNW is hosting an annual SHOWHOUSE event. Onsite & virtual. We are a 27 year old, nonprofit affordable housing organization. In June, we will have completed two new homes on Washington Blvd. Using the traditional SHOWHOUSE charity benefit model, we will be offering a unique perspective and opportunity. We seek creative interior designers to select a room(s) to showcase and market fresh attainable design sensibility in a SHOWHOUSE supporting affordable homeownership! Up to the challenge? Wide interest from multiple media outlets from shelter magazines to social & print media coverage. This is a unique event demonstrating Great design can be achieved with a thoughtful creative approach to design. Both the home construction and interiors will represent sustainable, possibly upcycled or repurposed and affordable options, space planning use of materials. Floorplans available. The Homeownership Center of Tacoma (HCT) is a 26+-year-old, community-based nonprofit corporation whose mission is to foster neighborhood revitalization through homeownership, provide free ongoing financial counseling and offer supportive resources to our community. HCT builds quality new homes, refurbishes existing homes, and makes homeownership affordable by providing a no-interest, no-payment second mortgage that ensures monthly payments are tailored to the household’s income instead of the purchase price of the home. HCT offers this unique financing program throughout the Pacific Northwest for homes that we have constructed or refurbished, to modest-income home buyers that have not owned a home during the past three years. We also offer free homebuyer, education classes. We have successfully matched over 200+ homes with individuals and families. We are just beginning. Join Us!

HCNW has placed over 200+ low and moderate-income people in homeownership opportunities within the Pacific Northwest. To do so, HCNW offers multiple levels of financial counseling, constructs and renovates single-family & multi-family homes, offers financial literacy classes, homeownership counseling, life-safety repair grants for existing homeowners, financing assistance to qualified homebuyers.
