Volunteers will be building support for patients in the Hospice program. Volunteers will be trained and required to have a background check before meeting patients. A 6 month commitment is asked and two hours a week. Variations of this can also be accepted. Volunteers are required to keep paperwork and to attend once a month check ins. Hospice patients ,their families and caregivers need interactions to make their end of life transition meaningful and comforting.
