Economy Shop

The Economy Shop is a consignment shop located in Oak Park, IL whose sales benefit local nonprofits. Part of Housing Forward's partnership with the Economy Shop requires volunteers to help prepare and run the Women's Better Clothing Room inside of the building.

Duties of volunteers might include:

  • Sorting donations
  • Hanging and organizing clothes
  • Tagging items for sale
  • Taking directions from the Room Chair volunteer
  • Assisting and checking out customers on Sale Days

  • 08:00 AM to 12:00 PM
    Volunteers are not required to be there for the entire shift.
