Crisis Chat Line
- Volunteers providing crucial support and immediate response to those in need of support, are looking for resources, need information, and or contact within our organization.
- Crisis Chat line volunteers are expected to work a 2 hour shift regularly which can be performed at home using their own computer. There is a commitment of 6 months expected.
- Volunteers chosen for this position are expected to fulfill normal mandatory volunteer training as well as crisis line training where they will learn how to respond actively, provide support, safety plan, and learn how to leave those who contact us feeling empowered.
- Staff members are in place to provide volunteers with support and backup whenever needed.

Description
Peace at Home Family Shelter provides shelter, services, and support to women, men, and children fleeing domestic violence in Northwest Arkansas. Each year, we work with hundreds of survivors of violence in our community as they work to rebuild their lives. Our services include: a crisis hotline and chatline, emergency shelter, legal services, counseling, support groups, and housing assistance.
