Everybody loves a birthday celebration-a statement that rings true from the youngest to the oldest of Hospice
patients. Our newly formed Birthday Club is a special celebration of recognizing each patients’ birthday in a special way. Volunteers will be responsible for the delivery of a beautifully packaged, specially-made cake, with a gift, and a birthday card signed by our team delivered to our patient on their special day! This will be done for our patients ages 0-21 and over the age of 90. Some volunteers will attend specially themed birthday celebration in themed dress.
As part of our philosophy of "making today the BEST day" for our patients, it is a nice surprise and our patients and their families love sharing this special moment.

Capital Caring Health would truthfully not exist without our volunteers. In 1977, this organization was founded by a group of dedicated volunteers, deeply committed to making a profound impact in our community. Capital Caring Health provides hospice, palliative and advanced illness care of the highest quality to patients of all ages, regardless of their ability to pay. We serve pediatrics to geriatrics. We have two in patient centers and serve most patients in the comfort of their home. Volunteers are key to the service we provide. We train our volunteers and support them along the way. They are part of our team.
