Are you passionate about putting an end to Alzheimer's disease? Do you want to get more involved with the Alzheimer's Association and the Walk to End Alzheimer's? Then we need you! Join the Walk to End Alzheimer's Planning Committee and help grow the movement to end Alzheimer's from the ground up.
Committee members plan each Walk to End Alzheimer's event from the kick-off to the wrap-up. Some committee members focus on growing the event by recruiting teams, getting Walk materials out in the community and securing sponsorships. Others focus on event production and find ways to enhance the event experience for all Walkers! Below are some very broad descriptions of each committee areas. Time commitments vary depending on the interested committee area and your availability, we have a place for everyone!
Sponsorship
Responsible for recruiting and managing relationships with new and past sponsors
Team Recruitment
Responsible for recruiting new teams and helping them get set up for success
Team Retention
Responsible for managing relationships with past Walk teams
Marketing & Outreach
Responsible for creating awareness of the disease and the Alzheimer's Association through the promotion of Walk to End Alzheimer's
AIM-Advocacy
Responsible for recruiting new Alzheimer's Impact Movement (AIM) members and advocates from all sectors of the community
Mission
Responsible for organizing activities that focus on the Association's mission at committee meetings, wrap-around events and on Walk day
Logistics
Responsible for overseeing day-of-event logistics and volunteers

We need your help to end Alzheimer's disease! Our volunteers are passionate, inspired, and want to make a difference in the fight against Alzheimer's disease. Whether you can spare a few hours a week or can make a more significant time commitment, please consider becoming an Alzheimer's Association volunteer.There are many ways in which to get involved at the Alzheimer's Association, including office assistance, fundraising events and event committees, advocacy, community outreach, and programs, including Helpline and Support Group Facilitator positions.
