The Okwumabua Progressive Group is looking for a spring marketing intern to assist with key marketing projects that will help to create awareness for a nonprofit organization whose mission is to progressively advance the people of African ancestry by supporting or implementing security, educational, and developmental initiatives. The internship is from February 6 th to June 5 th. Get a chance to work for an organization doing great work in Africa!
Job Requirements:
- Support the board members with marketing and administrative tasks
- Work on quarterly newsletters
- Assist in marketing and advertising of fundraising and community initiatives (e.g. social media, direct mail, and web)
- Assist with preparing promotional presentations
- Update website and customer relationship management systems (CRM)
- Create marketing pieces for social media (Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn)
Marketing Intern requirements are:
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Familiar with MS Office Suite
- Familiarity with marketing software and online applications
- Passion for the marketing industry
- Good understanding of a variety of marketing techniques
- Currently enrolled in a related BS or Master’s degree program

The Okwumabua Progressive Group Inc. (OKPG) is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization, whose mission is to progressively advance the people of African ancestry by supporting and implementing initiatives that promote education, development, and security. Launched in 2017, OKPG endeavors to make a lasting impact in Africa and the African Diaspora, with an initial focus on improving the quality of life for residents of Issele-Uku in Delta State, Nigeria, the ancestral home of the Okwumabua family.
