Retired Attorneys needed to mentor small business virtually
If you are a retired or semi-retired attorney but still have a wealth of legal
knowledge you are willing to share with small business owners, and have some free time to volunteer, join SCORE. Formerly the Service Corps of Retired Executives, this
nonprofit organization provides free business counseling to startups, small businesses
and entrepreneurs at 15 different locations around greater Houston. This is currently being done virtually. You would be asked to provide legal guidance, but not actual representation, on diverse matters
facing small businesses like corporate formation, intellectual property rights, real estate
leases and simple contract review. A great side benefit is collaboration with over 100
other retired business men and women interested in using their years of experience to
help grow Houston. Check us out at houston.score.org for more information and reply via email to express your interest to firstname.lastname@example.org.
