Board members share the foundation belief that a critical requirement for world peace is equal access to gainful employment and essential needs fulfillment. The foundation is interested economic parity. We want to give everyone a chance to contribute, to have sustaining income, and a chance at a better life.
Board members should understand the KeelWorks mission and method.
Board members should represent a marginalized part of society, bring expertise and perspective heretofore unavailable to the foundation.
Board members need to be communicators. They need to be active participants in fundraising. They need to be active in foundation planning and operations.
It would be nice to have board members who know people of wealth (we have none of that).
Note: Board members are not paid. For 15 years, we have provided services to those in need without paid staff. We'd like to change that some day, but you mustn't come to the foundation seeking wealth.

Description
We are a charitable non-profit virtual foundation. Founded in 2009, we've worked with over 300 graduate students and past students helping them bridge the gap from education to gainful employment while helping KeelWorks build a structure for people needing change. Our goal is to be the equalizer, bringing those on the outside looking in to the inside. Our goal is to end poverty across the world, one life change at a time. Our special approach involves grouping people for mutual support, teaching core competencies, and supporting goals with objective progress metrics and team accountability, We hope to build a structure for change that can be replicated hundreds and thousands of times. We don't give participants fish, but hope to teach them to fish for themselves.
