As a nonprofit - we are guided by our mission. The impact we can make is dependent on how much money we can raise. The Development Committee is responsible for the development and implementation of strategic plans to raise funds for the organization cost-effectively and time-efficiently. As the Director of Development, you will Chair the Development Committee. Your Committee will be responsible for:

  • Planning and evaluating fundraising campaigns and activities;
  • Identifying and stewarding prospective donors, including working with the Partnerships Committee to secure funding from corporations and foundations;
  • Establishing various donor levels and monthly/annual giving opportunities.

Additionally, you will:

  • Connect with donors as the first line of communication for our organization;
  • Use prospect research tools and your donor database to build donor relationships;
  • Create solicitation materials for the fundraising efforts of the organization;
  • Determine the right timeline for writing, and subsequently executing, grant proposals.

As a Committee, you will be expected to stay on top of fundraising trends and the nonprofit community.

Mission Statement

As a non-profit membership organization, the FAM is a movement that aims to change the behavior in the music industry in favor of a more collaborative and positive approach. Our philosophy is that this approach will lead to a more accessible music industry, more mentally healthy artists and professionals, and ultimately, more positive music for our audience.

Description

We are bringing the music industry family together to break down the unhealthy competitive nature.
The FAM is the one degree of separation in the music industry - an industry that actually feels like a family. We help each other explore and grow, provide answers, and share our successes and opportunities.
