Nothing brings comfort and joy like that of a sweet pet! AseraCare Hospice an Amedisys Company is seeking certified Pet and Volunteer Companion duo to visit our patients and bring them a sense of peace, trust, comfort and joy. Due to COVID-19 restrictions and protocols, visits would be completed through a window.
Training / orientation is provided for a volunteer. Pet must be at least one year old, provide proof of current vaccines and certified through a proper organization. Pet must be cleaned and groomed to visit with patient.
This opportunity could be located at various locations in Porter, LaPorte, or Lake County, Indiana. We are looking for individuals who are interested in this opportunity that can volunteer in one or all of theses counties.
