Saint Vincent de Paul Tacoma, Pierce County
We are in need of volunteers who are looking to gain retail experience. Come join our St. Vinnie’s Team, gain experience and training, meet new people, and have fun! We are looking for a commitment of 4 hours per week for a 2 month minimum. We are open Tues-Sat at our Summit location and Tues-Sun in Tacoma.
All volunteers receive an additional 20% off our already low-priced merchandise! We are a faith-based organization and treat all guests and volunteers with kindness and respect.
We have the following positions open:
- Retail: Duties include assisting customers, attending the cash registers, organizing and sanitizing the store front, and merchandising items to keep the store stocked and presentable.
- Production: Duties include processing, sanitizing, sorting and pricing donated goods; merchandising and stocking the store.
A background check is required; we will email you a link to submit your free background check upon receiving your application.
COVID-19 Information: We are working diligently to provide our staff and customers a safe experience. Please note that all state regulations, including mask mandates, will be enforced.
No additional volunteer opportunities at this time.

Many people know us for our thrift stores, but our mission is much broader:
In 2019, we provided more than $580,000 in direct financial assistance to more than 17,700 people in our community. Donations and proceeds from our two thrift stores in South Tacoma and Summit go directly to support help our neighbors in need.
Our generous donors and volunteers are the lifeblood of St. Vinnies! Please join us.
We'll work with your schedule.
