Want to be a voice for homeless pets and at-risk animals? Help support pet friendly laws and ordinances from the comfort of your home!
Action Alert Outreach Team volunteers will make phone calls or send texts to Best Friends Animal Society supporters when there is a critical deadline looming for a bill and there are targeted legislators we still need to convince to support our bill. Since an average of only 20% of our supporters might open an action alert email, our outreach volunteers will play an important role by calling/texting our supporters and asking them to take action before it’s too late. Training and scripts are provided! Learn more about the Action Alert Outreach Team volunteer role here: http://bit.ly/ActionAlertOutreach
If you are interested in this volunteer role, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Black, Indigenous, Latinx, People of color and LGBTQ+ individuals are strongly encouraged to volunteer.
Every day, nearly 2,000 dogs and cats are killed in America's shelters. But every day, there's something all of us can do to help save those animals. Together, we can Save Them All.
About Best Friends Animal Society:
Best Friends Animal Society is the only national animal welfare organization focused exclusively on ending the killing of dogs and cats in America's shelters. An authority and leader in the no-kill movement since its founding in 1984, Best Friends runs the nation's largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals, as well as life-saving programs in partnership with rescue groups and shelters across the country. Since its founding, Best Friends has helped reduce the number of animals killed in shelters from 17 million per year to less than 1 million. Best Friends has the knowledge, technical expertise and on-the-ground network to end the killing and Save Them All(tm).
