Pantry Assistant

We are looking for volunteers who are passionate about helping to feed our community!

Our food pantry currently serves around 600 community members in the metro Richmond and surrounding areas each week. Food pantry assistants support our efforts in a variety of ways, from packing pantry bags for clients' appointments, organizing and stocking the pantry shelves, to greeting clients for their scheduled appointments; volunteers are directly involved in the distribution of food to our clients!

We ask for a weekly commitment to one shift for a duration of at least 3 months.

3 Shifts

  • morning / 09:00 AM to 11:45 AM
    FRIDAYS 9:00am-12:00pm
  • 11:00 AM to 01:00 PM
    EVERY OTHER TUESDAY 11:00am-1:00pm
  • afternoon / 12:00 PM to 02:00 PM
    MONDAYS 12:00-2:00opm
  • NONE OF THESE TIMES WORK FOR ME, BUT I CAN STILL HELP

Atlantic Outreach Group (AOG), is a community based 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is dedicated to empowering individuals and families by connecting them to resources needed for their success. We assist those that are overwhelmed by physical, mental, emotional, social and financial challenges, by providing resources that assist in making positive sustainable changes in their lives.

We understand the importance of having a network of support that shares in our mission to help those in need in under-serviced communities. Our dedication to creating partnerships to assist in providing wrap-around support services, is key to our success. AOG strives to bridge the gap in services needed and those available by offering referrals to reputable outside agencies as well as internal programs to individuals and families.
