Come help us finish building the Tiny House Empowerment Village, the first village of tiny houses for homeless youth in the U.S.! We have several big projects left that need to be finished before the Village is complete. These next several builds will be crucial for making the progress we need.

We are in need of volunteers to come help out at our volunteer builds, which are held every Saturday at our Village site at 633 Hegenberger Road in Oakland from 9:30 am till 4:00 pm. We provide lunch, water, and snacks. We ask that all volunteers come wearing a mask (there's lots of space to social distance) and sign our volunteer waiver and sign-in sheet (by the snack table) upon arrival. Each build day can involve a variety of projects for both skilled and unskilled volunteers. You don't need construction experience to help out!

We are committed to building as safely and carefully as possible. It's our top priority to keep our community of volunteers safe from COVID, and for our builds to pose as little risk as possible for those who choose to show up. To this end, we intend to continue diligently observing social distancing guidelines, limiting the number of volunteers in small spaces at our builds, and serving individually packaged lunches.
