Grow with our non-profit organization by providing much needed support to our all-volunteer organization. Help us lay the foundation of this new organization and work to provide positive technical, social + environmental change.
Provide community outreach and engagement coordination to enhance our visibility and support our mission.
We are seeking a Community Outreach Coordinator for our SEE for the Earth Project which aims to spread awareness of ethical engineering practices, environmental justice, and social justice to middle school students.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plans and executes successful internal and external development events including timeline creation and oversight, vendor relationships and event logistics with the objective of fundraising, community outreach and public education.
- Actively coordinates varying programs and special theme events throughout the year.
- Provides support and expertise for all fundraising and community outreach events.
- Assists in implementing new strategies for volunteer and community engagement and strengthens already established relationships.
- Maintains productive and beneficial contact and working relationships with community agencies and organizations having missions similar to this enterprise.
- Assists in implementing new strategies for volunteer and community engagement and strengthens already established relationships.
- Supports long-term strategic plan for community outreach.
- Experience in education, specifically primary at the middle school level.
- Ability to connect with local middle schools in the Phoenix area.
- Proven public speaking skills.
- Ability to connect with others, network, and grow interest in project.
TIME COMMITMENT
- 5 hours per week
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in non-profit management, marketing, public management, or similar field
Work or volunteer experience: 2+ years work or volunteer experience related to community outreach/engagement in a non-profit or similar organization.
