Position Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated Event Planner/Coordinator to join our Team. We are poised for exponential growth as we work to expand our donor and sponsor network. This role will be responsible for planning and coordinating our events.

This is a great opportunity for a creative and innovative professional to identify new solutions and carry out meaningful projects in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Job Description:

  • Understand requirements for each event
  • Work with BE Team to plan and coordinate all aspects of events
  • Plan event with attention to financial and time constraints
  • Book venues and schedule speakers
  • Research vendors (catering, decorators, musicians etc.) and choose the best combination of quality and cost
  • Negotiate with vendors to achieve the most favorable terms
  • Manage all event operations (preparing venues, invitations etc.)
  • Do final checks at the day of the event (e.g. tables, technology) to ensure everything meets standards
  • Oversee event happenings and act quickly to resolve problems
  • Evaluate event’s success and submit reports

Building Education is a For-Purpose Organization 501(c)3 that provides funding for education in developing countries in efforts to end poverty.

In collaboration with the government, partner organizations and local schools we aim to transform rural villages into prosperous, dignified communities.
