Want to meet the world's rising social change leaders and improve your facilitation skills right from the comfort of your own home? Volunteer as a Group Captain with Atlas Corps!
Overview: Atlas Corps is looking for virtual volunteers to facilitate monthly peer coaching groups as part of our new Virtual Leadership Institute, which is an online learning community for global social change leaders between the ages of 22 - 35. The Leadership Institute was developed based on the three pillars of the Atlas Corps Global Leadership Lab model: Developing Self, Developing Others, and Building Movements. This seven-month online program includes keynote speakers, interactive workshops, self-led activities, and community-building activities with leading U.S. organizations and leaders. The peer coaching groups give the institutes' participants an opportunity to meet in smaller groups to discuss the program curriculum, trade advice, and engage with each other in the development of their leadership projects.
Impact: Designed for mission-driven individuals seeking social change, the Virtual Leadership Institute will help these individuals obtain additional professional development skills and drive an even greater impact in communities around the world. The result is a global society ecosystem that is strengthened with knowledge, inspired by a shared passion for positive social impact, and empowered with the tools to achieve results.
As a group captain, you will create a productive environment for co-learning, help the participants develop their leadership project, and guide the group through discussions around leadership development and social impact.
Time Commitment: able to commit to an initial 1.5-hour training and 2 - 2.5 hours per month for monthly video calls and pre-reading preparation

Mission: To address critical social issues, Atlas Corps develops leaders, strengthens organizations and promotes innovation through an overseas fellowship of skilled professionals.
Atlas Service Corps, Inc. (Atlas Corps), started in 2006, is an international network of nonprofit leaders and organizations that promotes innovation, cooperation, and solutions to address the world's 21st century challenges. Our mission is to address critical social issues by developing leaders, strengthening organizations, and promoting innovation through an overseas fellowship of skilled nonprofit professionals. Profiled as a "best practice" in international exchange by the Brookings Institution and featured in the Washington Post as a model social entrepreneurship program, Atlas Corps engages leaders committed to the nonprofit sector in 12 to 18 month, professional fellowships at organizations to learn best practices, build organizational capacity, and return home to create a network of global changemakers.
Method: Atlas Corps facilitates overseas fellowships for the best of the world's rising leaders. They volunteer at outstanding organizations addressing social issues and are enrolled in an ongoing training program. After 12 or 18 months, they return to their countries to work for at least one year (and usually their entire career) back in the nonprofit sector, sharing new skills, best practices, valuable experiences and a global network of changemakers.
