It's the simple things- writing an email, reading the paper, playing a game or just chatting,
and if you happen to speak Japanese or Tagalog we have patients now who would love to spend some time with you!
We will train you, and will always be just a phone call away.
We will provide you with Personal Protective Gear (PPE) and train you for infection control for all your visits.
We have opportunity in the San Diego area, North and East County as well.
It's time for us to add Volunteers back in the field where safe and possible. If you like people, like talking and listening, have a kind and caring heart and want to do some good - this opportunity if for you!

Description
Sonata Hospice Volunteers are trained to meet the needs of families and patients by providing companionship and short-term respite care. These volunteers are hand-selected and trained. Following reference and background checks, these individuals complete extensive training prior to working with patients. Volunteers make things easier by offering caregiver relief’, companionship, sharing of special interests, letter writing, reading to the patient or help with errands. We are always looking for quality volunteers. Please contact us to learn more about how you can help bring comfort to those in need.
