CAPE (Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment) is celebrating 30 years and we're looking for a talented PR professional to join our cause! There has never been a more interesting or exciting time for Asian and Pacific Islander representation in media. The landscape is constantly evolving and the conversation is more nuanced and important than ever. Join us and be part of the change!
Key Responsibilities
- Draft press releases and place them with the trades and other mainstream press outlets.
- Obtain targeted placements highlighting CAPE's successes and contributions to the entertainment industry.
- Strategize with the Leadership team regarding timing, placement, and content of releases.
- Collaborate with Leadership and Social Media Teams to ensure messaging and materials are positioned accurately and prominently.
- Facilitate interviews and thought pieces.
Requirements
- One year commitment.
- Must have at least 3 years of professional experience in PR or marketing.
- Must be self-starting and creative, have a positive attitude and a sense of humor, and provide consistently high-quality execution.
- Interested in supporting and increasing Asian and Pacific Islander representation in media.

CAPE (Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment) changes representation in Hollywood through three main verticals (1) nurturing and engaging creative talent and executive leadership, (2) providing content and cultural consulting, and (3) championing projects for critical box office and streaming success.
