We’re a nonprofit social welfare organization aiming to achieve equality for the LGBTQIA community in
education and healthcare. Currently, many gay and bisexual men, as well as other under the queer umbrella, aren’t allowed to donate blood, and our nation’s public-school system still routinely undervalues or even ignores issues regarding the community, whether it’s history or family life education. Our organization is lobbying policymakers and educating the public on these issues, and we are asking for help from people like you. If you’ve got a tight schedule, you may consider donating instead!

Our plan:

1. Conduct research & develop a legislative agenda tailored to each state/territory
2. Identify progressive policymakers, executives, and other government officials and coordinating with them to pass inclusive education & healthcare legislation
3. Inform the public on issues
4. Expand our influence on social media platforms
5. Reach out to other media outlets
6. Partner with organizations that share our commitment to the LGBTQIA Community
7. Reach out to young advocates by establishing a presence at college campuses & high schools

The Position:

The Digital Director of Operations coordinates with their staff to produce content
and grow our presence on social media, raising awareness and spreading
information regarding the issues we fight for, advertising any events our
organization hosts, and assisting the Fundraising team with digital campaigns. The
Digital Director of Operations may choose to work with volunteers skilled in graphic
design, animation, journalism, or other related fields, as well as a historian that will
keep a record of organic media. Will also work with the Research team to produce
ideas for content and will work with the Finance team to create merchandise for the
organization.

Also Expected:

• Create and maintain a nationwide email list for newsletters & info
• Work with Research to create voter literature & content, both for educational settings and digital platforms
• Manage, update & upgrade website
• Monitor & record digital platform analytics, and find ways to boost performance
• Work with Finance for online campaigns
• Create standardized "look" for organization’s content
