Sun Tree Hospice is looking for caring and compassionate volunteers to be an integral part of our amazing team!
Volunteer activities can include, but are not limited to:
- Direct Patient Volunteer: Volunteers provide respite for caregivers and companionship for hospice patients wherever they call home. This can include visiting with patients, letter or card writing, playing cards, playing music, reading light housekeeping, and providing emotional support.
- Office Support Volunteer: We also have a need for volunteers to help at our administrative office. This can include filing, answering phones and placing calls, copying, mailings, and typing.
Due to COVID-19, some opportunities may be virtual.
No experience necessary, just a big heart! Sun Tree will provide training including the hospice philosophy and mission, the dying process, ways to communicate and support this process, the volunteer role and boundaries.
Prospective volunteers will be subject to background check.

Sun Tree Hospice of Colorado is dedicated to providing nurturing, professional care for patients and families. We recognize the difficulty and challenges of end-of-life care and work to make it the most comfortable process for all involved. We provide comprehensive care and skilled caregivers to ensure that both the patient and family feel comfort, peace, and dignity. For each of our clients, we create a customized care plan with input from the patient, family, and attending physician to meet their specific needs. Our trained caregivers maintain the highest levels of professionalism and nurturing care. We work to exceed industry standards and communicate openly so patients and families better understand what is happening. Our goal is to give the utmost care and help with the transition during this difficult time.
