Description
The Next Chapter Resource Center (TNC) is a start-up not for profit social service agency serving the greater Columbus, Georgia area.
The Next Chapter Resource Center (TNC), target group is indigent young men and women ages 18 - 29 years old in need of a support system, to help build a foundation on which they will become self-sustainable. The target group may be homeless and or unemployed. It might also consist of college students in need for a semester, or victims of domestic and or sexual abuse suffering from low self-esteem. We also want to reach victims of trafficking or persons in need for countless other reasons.
The resources we plan to provide indigent young adults include: spiritual and mental counseling, group counseling sessions, life skills classes, and educational courses.
We provided care packages for the homeless in January and February 2020.
We conducted mental health interviews in May, June and July 2020 via zoom (recorded) and posted on FB and our website to help people cope with pandemic.
We have recently added a book scholarship program, which one person has been helped for the summer semester 2020.
We are currently working on building virtual life skill courses and fine tuning the scholarship fund as we continue to work on becoming fully functional.
