Moms2tech Inc. is conducting a shoe drive fundraiser from January 1 st - February 28 th to raise funds for programmatic expenses. Moms2tech Inc. will earn funds based on the total weight of the pairs of gently worn, used and new shoes collected. We know that most people have extra shoes in their closets they'd love to donate. By doing so, we raise money for our organization and we have the chance to help families in developing nations who need economic opportunities. It's a win-win for everyone.
No additional volunteer opportunities at this time.
About MOMS2TECH INC
320 S FLAMINGO RD, PEMBROKE PNES, FL 33027, US
Moms2tech Inc. is committed to providing a safe haven that supports our young mothers in becoming self-sufficient through IT career training, housing support, civic engagement, family mediation, and a focus on holistic health.
Moms2tech Inc. is a start-up non-profit organization geared towards young mothers, teaching them an IT skillset and the necessary skills to succeed.
We believe in the transformative power of education, which is the key to success. In the field of computer technology, new advancements are seen every day. Some companies are eliminating the requirement of having a college degree or abundance of certifications. Moms2tech Inc. is partnering with Coursera to provide educational online IT courses, enabling young mothers to form a solid understanding of IT fundamentals. With this new skill set, in conjunction with Moms2tech Inc.’s networks, it will lead to an entry level position in the IT industry.
Some young mothers may not know how they envisions themselves. Some may not have the confidence needed to even navigate daily life. Support groups enable young mothers an opportunity to be transparent about their feelings and receive validation from others experiencing the same struggles. In knowing that support groups are a vital part of holistic healing, we offer peer to peer support groups, parental support groups, inter-generational family mediation support groups, etc.
We offer a supportive network, that will help young mothers gain the confidence needed to overcome the fears of motherhood. Change is not in the masses but starts with one. If we can change the course of one life, we can change the trajectory of a community.
