B-STEM Project is looking for a Corporate Sponsorship & Fundraising volunteer. We need a professional with experience and existing connections to those that work in these areas: corporate sponsorship. corporate citizenship, philanthropy, diversity, equity and inclusion, marketing etc.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and connect with corporate sponsors and / or individual donors
• Create and implement a comprehensive corporate sponsorship and / or fundraising strategy
• Pitch B~STEM to corporate sponsors and / or individual donors in line with overall campaign messaging
• Collaborate directly with Board Members and develop nourishing strategy for B~STEM sponsors
• Provide prospect research support on corporate sponsors and / or corporate donors
• Passion for educating underserved youth and empowering their success
• 5-8 hours / week (remote)

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Bachelor's degree
• Proven track record of identifying new corporate and or individual donor prospects and achieving annual and long-term fundraising goals.
• Providing professional leadership and management for Boards and/or Committees
• Self starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication and presentation skills; ability to represent B~STEM Project’s mission and interests to a diverse group of people
• Excellent analytical and project management skills; capable of working effectively with board members, donors, donor prospects, staff members, volunteers and consultants

Nice-to-Have Skills :

• Experience with Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, DonorPerfect, The Raiser’s Edge, or other fundraising database software
• Certification in fundraising, such as the CFRE (Certified FundRaising Professional) or CSPG (Certified Specialist in Planned Giving) is a plus.
