B-STEM Project is looking for Social Media & Digital Marketing support. The volunteers position is 6 monthsFebruary - August. U.S. based volunteers only.
This position will allow you to directly manage and help B~STEM founder build her social media presence, voice, and aesthetic, and work with our board of directors and founder to amplify our programming. You will be able to reach out to other brands you love to build authentic partnerships, and engage with students in LA, Chicago, NYC, Atlanta, and more. Particularly those in underserved communities.
Required:
Experience in social media management across all platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, Twitter) and knowledge of what "works" natively on each platform.
Desire to work end to end on planning, designing, and posting across social platforms
6-10 hour/week commitment (due to COVID- 19, remote opportunity only)
Passion for educating and empowering emerging talent and empowering their success
Self starter, motivated learner, and able to execute independently
Brainstorming and developing ideas for creative marketing campaigns.
Experience in various areas (content development and optimization, advertising, events planning etc.)
Understanding on developing relationships with websites to obtain quality links
Can help us Improve search-engine rankings
Know how to send out quality messages that engage followers
Help with Driving traffic to website using a variety of methods
Ensure content appears high on search rankings
How to develop density of desired keyword on page
Insights on creating Internet ads.
Establish an effective presence on social media
Monitor a company's online reputation
Manage and delivering email lists.
Design and deliver of emails frequency
Crafting email campaigns
Integrate other online presences including social media outlets with email campaigns.
Solicit customer feedback and optimize campaigns accordingly
Preferred:
Leadership: ability and desire to hire and grow an intern or volunteer
Community Management: prior experience in building and growing a brand community
Growth Marketing: ability to research, identify, pitch, and execute on partnership opportunities for growth across channels
Graphic Design Expertise: experience in Adobe suite or other tools (desktop or mobile) for designing social posts and marketing flyers (e.g. Canva)
Social Media Management Tools: experience in Hootesuite or similar platform
Writing: ability to write posts, blog articles, etc,. to submit to various outlets
Research: capabilities to find and generate new ideas

Description
B~STEM Project’s primary focus is to provide young girls and women opportunities to gain in depth insight and understanding into the business of STEM disciplines across industries. We also offer an extension of holistic programming for both boys and girls that takes a comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach to STEM instruction.
BSTEM allows students to engage, learn and grow on both an academic and personal level. Our programs offer exposure into a variety of industries from entertainment, advertising and fashion to robotics, agriculture and life sciences. We simulate real life scenarios with a curriculum that’s project driven. The knowledge and skills acquired are reinforced through practice, coaching and mentoring by industry specific professionals.
