Train to be an Alternatives to Violence Project Volunteer facilitator or take a workshop just to sharpen your conflict resolution skills. Terrific to sharpen anger management skills also.
This BASIC workshop #11 will start on "
Friday April 23 5pm - 8pm pdt
Saturday April 24 8am - noon pdt
Sunday April 25 8am - noon pdt
Saturday May 1 8am - noon pdt
Sunday May 2 8am - noon pdt
Participants must complete all 5 sessions to receive a Certificate of Completion.
This workshop is also the first of 3 a person will need to complete to become an AVP facilitator. Each workshop will be 16-20 hours in length. The Advanced Workshop and the Training for Facilitators workshops will be scheduled at the Basic workshop for those interested in becoming facilitators.
Facilitating workshops by Zoom is a great experience. People attend workshops from all over the world. AVP facilitators will work in communities with adults and youth and also in prisons/jail (once COVID-19 has passed).
Requirements to attend, must have internet access and enter through Zoom.us with both audio and visual. Prefer computers, Mac or PC , laptop or tablets.

AVP/USA is an association of community based groups and prison based groups offering experiential workshops in personal growth and creative conflict management. The national organization provides support for the work of these local groups
Description
We facilitate 18-20 hour experiential workshops focused on communication and conflict resolution. We help people find their strengths in these areas and to develop new skills. This is a 30-year program presented all over the world in schools, communities and in prisons.
