Responsible for the development & implementation of marketing & external communication strategies, including the organization's campaigns, events, digital marketing, & public relations. Supports External Communications Team. Oversees organization's online presence & directs programs to improve social media reputation & recognition.
Qualifications; Prior marketing experience strongly preferred.
Must pass background check.
Commitment; 5-10 hours per month for Board, more if also picking up additional volunteer opportunities.

Description
Spencer Pride was founded in 2007 as a support organization for the rural LGBTQ+ community. In 2016 we were able to open a commUnity center in downtown Spencer. We have a youth group, Iris, who hosted their first alternative prom in 2019. We operate a retail space, supporting local artists. We offer health and wellness programming, educational events, free internet, and a space for other non-profits in the community to meet. All of this, in addition to supporting the LGBTQ+ community in person, virtually and by providing a resource list for additional support. We are all volunteer run.
