Responsible for the development & implementation of health & wellness programming, including commUnity center "Safe Place" designation, referral services, & other health & wellness-related services at the commUnity center such as HIV testing, legal service, etc. Supports other health & wellness volunteers.
Qualification; Passion for health & wellness required

Must pass background check

Description
Spencer Pride was founded in 2007 as a support organization for the rural LGBTQ+ community. In 2016 we were able to open a commUnity center in downtown Spencer. We have a youth group, Iris, who hosted their first alternative prom in 2019. We operate a retail space, supporting local artists. We offer health and wellness programming, educational events, free internet, and a space for other non-profits in the community to meet. All of this, in addition to supporting the LGBTQ+ community in person, virtually and by providing a resource list for additional support. We are all volunteer run.
