Metamorphasis Powerhouse Company is seeking an experienced accountant who will serve on our Executive Board and can help us reconcile our online Quickbooks on a monthly basis (and if you are interested in teaching young entrepreneurs the importance of accounting, or sharing your accounting journey with our STEM program students even better).
We currently need someone who will export a report of all revenues and expenditures. every month and send to the CEO and CFO for review, verification and to make sure all line items are being assigned correct categories.
We are using a customized Chart of Accounts in alignment with our Operating Budget, Categories and SubCategories as well as Class and SubClass. Some of these entries may need to be updated.
You will be working with the Executive Team to ensure ensure all line items and receipts are assigned with correct vendors, sponsors, and grantees.
The ideal professional will have experience with online Quickbooks, small to medium sized nonprofits operating with up to $100K and be prepared to give best practices around cost of goods, inventory, assets and payroll as we pivot and scale.
Some of the essential duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Reconciling Quickbooks on a monthly basis and then generating a P & L for the board of directors.
- Monthly check-ins with Executive Leadership Team
- Experience working with Quickbooks Online is critical
- Ability to work independently and communicate virtually
- Review relevant data to ensure accuracy
- We need an organized critical thinker, problem solver
- Fundraising and/or Federal grant reporting experience a preferred plus
- Perform routine audits to help ensure financial transparency and compliance

Just Say YES to Youth Initiative equips youth to succeed by educating them through project-based learning, dynamic mentors, and out-of-the-box classroom curriculum, reinforcing positive choices and how to design a growth mindset.
Primary services are in the areas of Early Ed, K-12 Ed, & Adult Ed related to: Academic/ financial literacy, career readiness & entrepreneurship, STE(A)M services to advance educational enrichment for youth and adults, and birth-3yo language nutrition.
Our volunteers are on-site at schools, running our community-based learning labs in partnered public spaces or working virtually using tech to advance our mission to turn everyday places into public learning classrooms to help people evolve into their best selves.
