Project Overview

Instructional Designers/Educational Content Creators needed to assist in converting curriculum content to digital E-Learning environment. Course authoring tools include: Canva designed slide templates and H5P interactive activities to accompany the presentation material with the expected outcome of a package of digital 24 lessons for a language education institute.

As a result of COVID's interruption of the status quo, ReDefiners World Languages is adapting to a new norm in education, with the goal of maintaining high quality classes for underserved, at-risk and immigrant populations while also attracting students to fee-based live virtual programs across the U.S. As we work towards scaling our programs, we are faced with a hurdle. Our awesome teachers are skilled at teaching, have mastered the art of building community within the virtual context but, are challenged in the area of digital instructional design. We need the assistance of individuals who are proficient in manipulating H5P technology, have an eye for visual appeal and can work with our instructional team to adapt our curriculum to a modern standard for engaging, interactive and dynamic lessons for synchronous and asynchronous learning.

The content, goals and objectives are set. The authoring tools (Canva for presentations) and Nearpod for interactive lessons are available, we simply need the assistance of individuals who are willing to use their experience and skills to implement our goals. The content created, will then be added to our LMS for student and teachers to access.

ReDefiners World Languages' mission is to promote social change, create equity in educational opportunities and to provide a competitive advantage to youth and adults.

We achieve this mission through world language classes, programs and cultural enrichment opportunities.

ReDefiners teaches Arabic, English, Mandarin and Spanish for adults and youth in a variety of contexts, providing summer programs, after-school classes, Saturday enrichment and evening classes.
