Cupboards of Care(r) is a program to help low-income residents of HumanGood affordable housing communities improve their food security and healthy eating habits. Residents enrolled in the program receive nutritional education and counseling as well as a quarterly benefit to purchase healthy foods. Currently, 250 households at 36 communities in the Delaware Valley are enrolled in Cupboards of Care.
HumanGood is seeking a volunteer passionate about helping older adults avoid hunger in Greater Philadelphia. We have a need for an assistant to support the administrative needs for the Cupboards of Care program. Roles and responsibilities are flexible based on volunteer interest, but skills should include data entry and attention to details. Tasks include reviewing and recording receipts for food purchases and creating, maintaining and entering information into database on a regular basis.
