About the Tour
The South Carolina Ag + Art Tour is a free, self-guided tour of farms and farmers markets in select South Carolina counties featuring local artisans at every stop! During this tour visitors have the opportunity to see first-hand where their food comes from, watch artists in action and purchase their works, and learn more about South Carolina’s rich agricultural and artistic heritage.
Tour Management
The Tour is managed by Will Culler of Clemson University Extension. Each participating county has a designated Chair(s) and Vice-Chairperson(s) that lead their respective County Planning Teams. County Planning Teams are responsible for coordinating the tour within their respective counties.
Role of County Planning Team
The County Planning Team is the engine of the Ag + Art Tour. This team implements the tour in their county using the roadmap developed by Ag + Art Tour Administration. All positions on the Ag + Art Tour county planning teams are volunteer positions.
Volunteer Coordinator Responsibilities
The volunteer coordinator/committee is responsible for making sure each tour site has volunteers to serve as check-in greeters throughout the tour weekend. Volunteers are critical for our tour data tracking and evaluation. Farm sites are asked if they can provide volunteers. If unable, they are instructed to contact their county planning team (this person or committee) for assistance in finding volunteers.
* Serve on County Planning Team
* Recruit tour site volunteers as needed (based upon farm site needs)
* Provide tour site volunteers with the resources necessary to be successful

Description
The Arts Council of York County connects people through art, culture, dance, drama, film & music with a vision to create and support a thriving, diverse, and vibrant community in York County, SC.
The Arts Council serves the local arts community by offering artist studios in the Center for the Arts and at the Gettys Art Center; by providing exhibition space within ACYC managed galleries; by offering a platform for emerging and established performing artists, and affording Small Grants to local artists and organizations.
The ACYC produces more than 70 programs and events annually, including the Blues & Jazz Festival, art markets, concerts, art classes, art exhibits, public art installations, and more. The ACYC also hosts competitions for visual and literary artists.
