Due to the impact of COVID-19 on our affordable housing residents, NeighborWorks Boise is working to install an on-site food pantry at Gateway Crossing Apartment Complex. Once this food pantry is built we will be looking for a volunteer to take ownership of this project. I am estimating the hours needed for this weekly will not be more than 2 or 3. I am very flexible on this, as this would be your project. This would be great for a student majoring in social services or a church. I would consider a high school student if you are very mature. Some of the duties I am imagining would be:

  • Outreach to local organizations to find a food donor
  • Forming a relationship with a local food pantry for donations
  • Making flyers to advertise this service to our residents
  • Making sure the food pantry is stocked once a week or so
  • Communicate with Property Manager as needed

If you are a self starter and this interests you please feel free to reach out!

Thank you.
