We have the volunteer opportunity for you!
NAMI is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. NAMI started with a small group of families in 1979 and has grown to include more than 500 local affiliates. Delaware and Morrow counties is one of those affiliates! Each week we provide support groups, informative educational classes as well as presentations to the public in order to decrease the stigma of mental illness in the our community and improve the lives of individuals affected by mental illness as well as the lives of their loved ones.
NAMIWalks is our largest fundraiser! This event allows us to provide our services throughout the year! We need individuals who are creative, dedicated and motivated to plan an event in these unprecedented times. We need individuals, like you, who know their community and know how to get people involved in a fundraising event.
- The meetings will take place virtually, but are for residents of Delaware and Morrow Counties of Ohio
- Meet monthly (and more frequently closer to the event) with planning committee
